Stone building with stairs leading to the entrance, windows with wrought iron bars, and plants on the steps, in an urban setting.

Wujood Collective is a coaching practice for high-achieving women, many from underrepresented backgrounds, who have performed their way through life and are ready to stop shrinking, come back to their own voice, and lead in ways that feel real, sustainable, and truly their own.

About the practice

The story behind the name

A desert landscape with a single tree, a swing set, rocks, and a wooden fence in the background.

The name Wujood was born from a line by Mahmoud Darwish that has lived inside me for years:

سأصير يوماً ما أُريد
سأصير يوماً طائراً، وأَسُلُّ من عدمي
وجودي

One day, I will become what I want. I will become a bird, and from my nothingness, I will draw out my existence.

This is the kind of becoming I believe in. Not one rooted in perfection or performance, but in presence. In truth. A return to self.

Wujood (وجود) means being, presence, existence. To me, it also means breath after silencing. Fire that reveals instead of destroys. The radical act of reclaiming yourself after being told to disappear.

The transformation I support doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s rooted in relationship and community.  That’s why this isn’t just Wujood. It’s Wujood Collective.
